How does this affect the area of Weatherly Borough, Lausanne Township, Lehigh Township, Packer Township, Beaver Meadows and Treskow?
These areas will all be included in your very own Weatherly Area Council for the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce.
The Weatherly Area Council for the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce will meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 12:00 noon at the Weatherly Borough Building - Conference Room
This Council acts as a VOICE for our area in the affairs of all of Carbon County. We will be able to promote our area for economic growth, local tourism, and affect policy decisions in Carbon County, the State and the Federal Government.
The businesses in the Weatherly Area Council will be able to join the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce and benefit from that membership. Things such as county wide recognition & promotion of local events, Your business or association will be listed in the county wide chamber directory, allowing other businesses to find you and use your services. The ability to join an insurance discount program, Chamber Choice, for programs such as health insurance, liability insurance, etc., all at group discount rates. The ability to gain the ear of your local politicians and state wide representatives.
Your local Council will also promote local events, and lend a voice directly to the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce through a three member group that will sit on the new chamber's Board of Directors.
